 On September 11, 2005, during her very first
pageant competition and experience, Tamiko Nash was crowned Miss California USA® 2006. She went on to place First Runner-up to the title of Miss USA®.
Tamiko has worked as an on-air correspondent and host throughout California to include “View from the Bay” in San Francisco, “Good Day Sacramento” as well as “Comcast Spring
Break” for the Style Network. She has made numerous television appearances to include the "Today" show, “Good Morning America” and CBS’ “The Early Show” and don’t forget the
hit game shows "Deal or No Deal" and “1 vs.100” and on NBC, "Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA" on E! Network on which she was profiled. Tamiko currently works as a
model on the hit television game show “The Price is Right.”
A Los Angeles native, Tamiko devotes much of her time to her philanthropic work, which focuses on family and child development organizations. She raises awareness about pursuing
a higher education, minimizing domestic violence and motivating others to achieve their dreams.
Her affiliations include the 1736 Domestic Violence Family Crisis Centers, Crystal Stairs, Inc., and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, to name a few. She frequently
works with young children who are the victims of or have been exposed to Domestic Violence, as well as empowering and young people in general. Rooted with strong family values,
Tamiko is most content spending time with her family, whether it is taking a trip or sitting around the kitchen table sharing a meal and getting lost in the constant laughter and
banter that is the hallmark of all family gatherings.
Tamiko earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University. Upon graduation, she began her career as an elementary schoolteacher
in La Jolla, California. Tamiko then turned her pursuits toward a career in the entertainment industry, working for The Recording Academy®, known worldwide for its GRAMMY® Awards.
Broadening her career endeavors to include Pageant Consultant, and focusing on her own belief in letting one’s light shine, Tamiko is most excited about the opportunity to
encourage and inspire young women to reach their potential and beyond in the world of pageantry.
